In what way do numbers dictate what and where and how you should live your life? How will you capture that in your photo challenge this week?

In looking at today’s warm up, what types of lighting have you used in the past? Which types are you likely to use now?

This week’s photo challenge occurs during that time where we find ourselves counting down the days quite a bit. Use this time to seek out and find the numbers that affect you everyday. When you stop and think about it, numbers dictate where we are at a given time during the day, they dictate what time we rise and what time we go to bed. Numbers determine how much or little money we make, and determine the kind of neighborhood around us.

Capture a number, fill the frame, show us these little gems up close and personal.

Here it is, one of our most ambitious projects yet.

 

1. Write an original poem or work of fiction.
   1. I stress the word original, not someone else’s work.
   2. You will receive a zero for this assignment if it is not original.

 

1. Take a picture that accompanies the poem or work of fiction.
   1. Make the poem/fictitious work as visual as possible.
   2. Use specific details in your writing.
   3. Have the final line in the work match with the image.
2. Make a new Photoshop document.
   1. File/New/ Document/
   2. Width=17 inches
   3. Height = 11 inches.
3. View/Rulers
   1. Click and drag from the left most ruler point to the center of the screen.
   2. You should now see a blue guide half way in between the pages.
4. A note on the Poem/Work.
   1. Don’t do a limerick.
   2. Do write as specifically as possible.
   3. Do write about something that is important to you.
   4. Don’t copy and paste someone else’s work from online sources.
   5. Do have fun with this assignment.
   6. When writing the first draft, try to type with your eyes closes, or do it blindfolded.

 

    5.On one side you will place your poem/work of fiction.

 

    6. On the other side you will place your accompanying image.

 

    7. This will not be a photo challenge, so no one has to see it, save for you and I.
