Weekly Assignment: Photo Two: Contact Sheet and Critique

For this week’s assignment, you will shoot ten to fifteen pictures of a subject. The same subject. This could be an object, or a person.

1.Shoot the subject and different angles, different aperture and shutter speeds, bump up the ISO on the camera, pop into the TV mode and take as many pictures as you can.

2.Once you have in between 10 and 15 different shots of the same subjectthen you are ready to make the contact sheet in Photoshop.

3. In Photoshop go to File/Automate/Contact Sheet II and point Photoshop to the 10-15 pictures you took.

4. Once you have your Contact Sheet made, Use steps 1-7 in the guide for critiquing images contained in the link below. You will use this list to judge what one picture you will select.

4. On a word document write out your selection process for each Critique Criteria:
Example: “I chose the fifth picture because the lighting is well balanced, and the subject has an appropriate amout of light on it.”

5. Then turn in the one successful picture of the subject, the contact sheet and the word document explaining your selection process into my drop box.

6. Call it Selection Project
