You know how sometimes a place can be as distinct as a person, a place with such personality that by photographing the subject, they can take on the same personality traits that a person does. Think about places like New York City, or London, Paris, or Seattle, these are places that are so realistic, so imprinted in our collective minds, that they act as people.
