Photographer of the Day: 3/25: Stephen Berkman

18theraven

Would you believe by looking at them that these images were created in modern day times? Stephen Berkman creates his images by using methods used over one hundred and fifty years ago. You’ll see some of his work in the Brad Pitt starring film, The Assasination of Jesse James by That Coward Robert Ford.

Mysterious and spooky, Berkman creates fantasy out of our own collective history.

My favorite picture is probably the little family. The womans face is very clear, while the child and mans face arent as visible. Its interesting, and sad at the same time.

I would have to say that my favorite photo is the picture of the lady looking over the man. its just the way that everything was set up and the color effect it makes takes you back to that time. Also I like how you see the pain in the lady’s eyes as she mourns for her husband.

My favorite image would have to be of the lady, man, and baby. It just to me shows the way families were back then and how the women mourn over their dead husbands. it’s quite sad!

My favorite image is the one with the lady looking at the other person lying down, because it’s kind of a sad picture, with fits mostly with the color, But i think that it looks really olden day too, and i like the effect that gives.
