This Week’s Photo Challenge: A Snapshot of Poetry

fv_eliot

April is Poetry month.

Here’s how it will work.

1. Choose the mood, or tone of the photo  you would like to take a picture of.

a. Start here, by checking out different poetic categories.

2. Choose from the list of moods, then check out a few poems from each mood.

3. When you find the poem you like, choose one phrase (roughly about two lines) from the poem of your choosing (Must be school appropriate, natch.) from that poem and photoshop that text onto your image.

4. Then take a picture that matches what is contained in the phrase.

5. The photo above, contains a phrase from,  T. S. Eliot’s, “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock

6. And Thursday is Poem in a Pocket Day.

Feel free to also use markers, paint, blocks, or any other kind of font or natural wording devices.

Need some inspiration? Here is a great series of photos that have the phrase actually inside the pictures, most of them drawn by hand. But we have Photoshop! Imagine what we can do with this!

Due on Friday, May
