I like the quote: Good photographers take great pictures, great photographers create images, becuase it sounds really cool.

I think it really doesn’t matter what you call a picture or an image just as long as it means something to you.

This tutorial was really interesting because it basically says to create your own image. We as photographers create what we like or want to see, like our own imagination but in a meaningful, realistic image.

This tutorial thaught me the same thing you said. And I was really thinking about that recently. It’s not just take a nice picture. It’s create a great picture. So I guess I have to begin to think, “how can I improve my picture with photoshop.” The second thing interesting is the meaning of the picture. Because I generally just take pictures and don’t really ask me why. This tutorial will really help me.

I get the you have to create an image to get a great one and the one with emotion. But sometimes its hard to create an image when you have nothing or someone who wont be your helper to make the picture happen. And sometimes accidents are the ones with the most feeling. But i have been creating my own pictures lately and they are hard to do. Some people are natural photographers but some of us have to work on it.

So true. But there is good news for us who need to go it alone, so to speak, I have seen many students over the years, experiment with something new, and take their photography to great new heights, but trying new things, working with different light sources, even an idea like “I am going to make a background with a black sheet and photograph a close of up of someones face with a bunch of newspapers in the background” is a start.

      Keep at it!
